On September 28, the MU Second Sports Meeting and Oath of 100 Regiments were held simultaneously in Ningbo and Yiwu, with MUers ready to ignite the passion for striving!
A single spark can start a prairie fire. The Oath of 100 Regiments was held solemnly at the Ningbo University track field and Yiwu Meihu Sports Center. Group President Tom Tang, and Group leaders Jeff Luo, Amenda Weng, Eric Zhuang, Sam Zhu, and Amanda Chen attended the Ningbo event, while Henry Xu, William Wang, and Ken Huang attended the Yiwu event.
As the national anthem played, the Oath of 100 Regiments began with ten phalanxes standing in salute. “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out!”, “Achieve Goals, Unleash Potential, and Be Invincible!” and “Victory! Victory! Victory!” — the “Hundred-Regiment Campaign” is more than just a slogan; it is a battle that all MUers are fighting to the end!
In his speech, President Tom Tang emphasized that participation is the key to the success of the sports meeting. We advocates “MU in Sports” but never forces it. The extent to which we can organize people is the boundary of our company’s development—not only with culture and values but also with activities like sports, fashion, and what young people love, genuinely making a difference. Looking back on the history of China’s rise from weakness in sports, it coincides with the rise of the nation. A strong nation naturally gives rise to outstanding individuals in technology, sports, and humanities without deliberate effort. As the company develops, outstanding talents will naturally emerge, including sports talents. Only a strong company can flourish in all fields! If we look back twenty years from now at today’s text, photos, and videos, we will feel an immense sense of pride.
Generals emerge from battles, and heroes from gunfire! The sports meeting featured athletics such as running, high jump, long jump, hurdles, and shot put; team games like relays, tug-of-war, and frisbee; and special events like the “Daredevil Business Team”, “Thousand-People Marching” and “Hundred-Regiment Campaign”.
With the starter gun’s crack, the sound of charging echoed. Sprinters dashed forward, long-distance runners ran with ease, and hurdlers overcame every obstacle, refusing to be defeated by difficulties.
With a push-off and twist, the shot put flew like a meteor; high jumpers showcased graceful arcs; and in long jump, one of the oldest competitions, jumpers defied gravity with powerful leaps.
From individual struggle to collective striving, the tug-of-war event saw teams forge unbreakable strength. Relay runners passed the baton seamlessly, achieving glory together—every participant was a champion! Frisbee players relied on teammates as trusted partners, just as adaptability and persistence are essential in the trade world.
In the “Thousand-People Marching”, the “three-legged race” vividly showed team unity; the “Hundred-Regiment Campaign” once again proved that to go far and long, a group must walk together! The “Daredevil Business Team” resisted the dizziness of spinning at whirlwind speed—this is the era of sprinting, our era.
“Brightest star in the night sky, can you hear?” On the green field, cheers and the power of song and dance showed confidence and unity.
Although the games have an end, movement has no limits. Future great companies are ones that keep moving! As dusk fell, the top three winners of sixteen events were decided in Ningbo and Yiwu. The vibrant growth of new talent injected vitality into the group, while the pillars of the company continued to break through limits. Through the spirit of sports, we surpassed age and position to become true comrades.
As the autumn breeze rose, we put aside past glories, packed our bags again, and prepared for the next battle. We are about to embark on the Canton Fair order battle this fall— “The Hundred Teams, Hundred Countries, Thousand Cities Campaign”—facing off in 2024. The greatest view is always atop the most dangerous peaks!
